ISLAMABAD – Senior journalist and analyst Sohail Warraich who quit Dunya News last month is likely to return to Geo News.

He parted ways with Dunya after a row with the management over his appearance on a rival television channel. He briefly went abroad and has now returned, his friends say. Negotiations with Geo are on, they say.

Warraich rose to fame with his program Aik Din Geo Kay Saath quit Geo News in January this year and joined Dunya News.

At Dunya, he was the Group Editor and Executive Director for nearly seven months. There he also hosted the program Aik Din Dunya Kay Saath.

Warraich’s style of asking questions often ending with Kia Ye Khula Tazad Nahin became common phrase as he interviewed celebrities and politicians focusing on their daily lives in his program.
